Made by Franz Weninger of Mittelburgenland in Austria. Weninger is a biodynamic vineyard that respects the importance of soil and old vines. This red wine represents the diversity of the soils with dark ripe fruits and spicy tannins. Hochäcker is in reference to the loam soils, which is a characteristic of traditional Blaufränkisch. Within these soils are 45 year old vines.
