Founded in 2010, Kità Wines is a small indigenous-owned premium winery in the heart of the Santa Ynez Valley, which lies within the Santa Barbara County AVA. In the Chumash native language of Samala, Kitá means "our valley oak“. Tara Gomez, who is from the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians, is the winemaker at Kitá.
The Sauvignon Blanc is matured in a combination of stainless steel and neutral oak for a period of at least 8 months and bursts with exotic aromas of citrus, gooseberry, passionfruit, guava, lemongrass and florality. Honey and citrus on the palate precede melon notes, white peach and crisp green apple.
