Khashmi is a village in the Sagarejo municipality in the Kakheti region of Georgia. Vineyard is organically farmed and located around 700 m of altitude. They put whole clusters directly in Qvevris, with an addition of pressed juice. Fermentation and skin contact for around 20 days with indigenous yeasts. The wine has been racked to old French oak barrel and Qvevri and aged slowly for another 6 months.
In the glass, a light red color with violet hue. On the nose, lots of bright red and purple fruits which includes plums, cherries and wild strawberries, licorice, backed up by smooth tannins. Light bodied red wine, very fresh and delicate with a crisp finish. A wine with great personality and depth.
